Amino GmbH, Frellstedt, Germany, has appointed Dr. Lutz Thomas managing director of Amino Bioproducts, a joint venture formed between Amino and SA BioProducts to develop and produce specialty amino acids for the global marketplace. Prior to joining Amino, Dr. Thomas marketed functional ingredients to the global dietary supplement industry at Merck KgaA.
